Grandmaster Craig “White Tiger” Hamm is a lifelong martial artist, instructor, educator, and organizational leader with more than four decades of experience dedicated to the study, practice, and advancement of the martial arts. His career has been defined by a commitment to technical excellence, instructor development, ethical leadership, and the preservation of traditional values while embracing practical, modern training methodologies.
Grandmaster Hamm is the Founder and Soke of the World Budoshin White Tiger Federation and the Owner and Master Instructor of White Tiger Dojo, located at 145 W. Court Ave., Selmer, TN 38375. Established in 1994, the dojo serves as the headquarters for Budoshin White Tiger-Ryu, a comprehensive martial arts system that integrates striking, grappling, self-defense, and leadership principles into a cohesive curriculum designed for students of all ages and skill levels. His philosophy emphasizes integrity, humility, courage, discipline, and respect as the foundation of both martial arts training and personal character.
Grandmaster Hamm holds master and black belt rankings in multiple disciplines, including 8th Dan Hapkido, 7th Dan American Kenpo Karate, 7th Dan Namido Jujitsu, 6th Dan Shotokan Karate, 4th Dan Pasaryu Taekwondo, 2nd Dan Kodokan Judo, and Level 9 Master Instructor in the Western Malay Fighting System. His diverse background provides a well-rounded approach to martial education while honoring the traditions and technical principles of each discipline.
For more than 25 years, Grandmaster Hamm has instructed martial arts classes, developed instructors, and conducted seminars throughout the United States and overseas. His presentations have covered traditional martial arts, practical self-defense, weapons training, combative applications, leadership development, and instructor certification, earning him recognition as a knowledgeable and engaging educator committed to raising standards within the martial arts community.
A decorated competitor and coach, Grandmaster Hamm represented the United States as both a Martial Arts Team Coach and Competitor in 2003, earning World Championship titles in Self-Defense, Weapons, and Kata. Throughout his competitive career, he also captured multiple state championships and has been inducted into numerous martial arts halls of fame in recognition of his achievements, service, and leadership.
