Master Stephen Nichols began training in the martial arts more than 25 years ago under the instruction of Master Anthony Verburgt. After many years of running classes and training others for him, Master Nichols opened his own dojo, Black Sheep Martial Arts in Ozark, MO.
His accomplishments to date include:
- Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) – Tracy’s Kenpo
- 10+ years as an instructor
- Ranking multiple times in the Missouri and Arkansas fighting circuits
- 10 years with the Tracy’s Karate of SW Missouri Demonstration Team
- Training in Aikido, Iaido, Kang Duk Wan, and Chuan Fa
- Host of the Building Bridges Friendship Seminar in Springfield, MO
- Gathering of Eagles 2022 Instructor of the Year recipient
- Seminar Instructor at Gatherings of Eagles 2022
- Inducted to Kenpo International Hall of Fame 2022
